“Kochhaus”: inspiration for dinner tonight
Alleluia! we have a supermarket which thinks for you- what to cook, how to mix, melt and chop, and how much rice is needed for that risotto or how many apples for the dessert, for 2 or for 4 etc. persons. Thai, Indian or classy Italian, vegetarian or hearty?- no problem!
On the sweet spot occupied by a somewhat faceless “Starbucks” ,which finally got lost from Schoeneberger map, they recently opened a gastronomic point of high quality. “Kochhaus” not only offers superb ingredients, but they are presented as sets ready to pick up to cook a certain dish with wine suggestions. Fancy boards with enticing lists of ingredients (with final price of a plate), printed cards with “step-by-step” instructions (on exchange every week!) let one has just get inspired and choose spontaneously what to have this evening..! The advice on preparations comes form an experienced cook, Benjamin Rendtorff, who tries out all the offered recipes first. Along with food sets there are last minute or sos-kitchen items, a few non-standard cooking books (hopefully they manage to skip Jamie..), and also one can have an espresso, while getting last instructions. A big stove in the middle suggests some cooking shows or workshops (?) in the future.
The team is friendly and very attentive with truly personalised attitude!…(In addition, smart opening hours and delivery service- for Schoeneberg, together with wine, from 13.09..)
